Ask a Librarian

In the library’s collection, you will find texts of radical left and feminist theory, as well as fiction, zines and other types of printed material from Lithuania and abroad. Before the Library found its place in Emma, its collection grew in various other infoshops: Pavasaris (2006), Labdariai, Taškas (2013-2014), Žalias Namas (2015), Infokrautuvė (2016). All of these initiatives sought to spread alternative and critical literature that is not published or sold in Lithuania.

You can borrow the books for one month’s time. In case you would want to have them for longer, please contact the library to make sure if there are no other people who want the book.

There is a desk for work with computer and internet connection. You can make tea or coffee or even use the kitchen to make food. There are comfortable couches to help you fully experience the pleasure of reading.

The library is open during events at „Emma“*.

*sometimes the library might be open at other hours. If you want to find out if the library is open or to arrange a visit to the library at „non-working hours“, please write a message to Emma facebook page.

You can also help the library grow by donating books that are appropriate for the format of the library, or by contributing financially to acquisition of new books.
